Domestic Terrorism & Crimes Against Children

A Special Briefing with FBI Pittsburgh

Event Overview

The threat landscape is evolving beyond traditional geopolitical or financial motivated actors. Today, decentralized and nihilistic violent extremist networks are leveraging digital platforms to target some of the most vulnerable members of our communities.

Join InfraGard Pittsburgh for a critical in-person briefing featuring John Pulcastro, Supervisory Intelligence Analyst (SIA) from the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office.

This session will provide an in-depth analysis of emerging extremist groups operating online, including how they groom children, incite self-harm, engage in sextortion, and coordinate violence through digital ecosystems.

Understanding these predatory tactics is essential for security professionals, law enforcement, risk leaders, educators, and community stakeholders committed to protecting both digital and physical environments.

Agenda

  • A New Era of Leadership: We are proud to officially introduce our new chapter president, Stephen Deal, who will outline his strategic vision for the year ahead and discuss how InfraGard Pittsburgh will continue strengthening regional resilience against emerging threats.
  • FBI Intelligence Briefing: An analysis of the tactics used by nihilistic extremist networks to exploit minors and vulnerable populations online.
  • Operational Readiness: Guidance for identifying behavioral and digital “red flags” and improving collaboration between private sector security professionals and federal partners.
  • Q&A Session: An opportunity to engage directly with FBI representatives and chapter leadership.
