Membership

  • Who should join InfraGard?

    InfraGard members work for a variety of organizations that constitute the critical infrastructure of our nation (banks, utility companies, chemical companies, hospitals, telecommunication service providers, universities, and many others). Members often hold management or operational positions related to physical or cyber security, risk assessment, business continuity / disaster recovery, and engineering.

  • How do I join InfraGard?

    Fill out the membership application on the InfraGard National website.

  • Is the InfraGard application records check the same as a security clearance?

    The InfraGard application process requires an FBI criminal records check. This is NOT the same as a US government security clearance background investigation. InfraGard membership does not grant the member a "security clearance". Persons who are InfraGard members may, as appropriate, state that they have passed the "FBI’s InfraGard Records Check". InfraGard members may NOT state more generally that they have passed an FBI Background Check.

  • How do I find out my InfraGard membership number?

    Contact the InfraGard Helpdesk.

  • How do I update my contact information?

    Contact the InfraGard Helpdesk for assistance with updating your contact information in the official InfraGard National membership database.

    Also login the InfraGard Pittsburgh mailing list server to update your email address on the local mailing lists.

    1. Click here for the Public-Announce mailing list or click here for the Members-Announce mailing list.
    2. In the Subscribers section, enter your email address and click the "unsubscribe or edit options" button.
    3. Enter your list password. If you do not know your password, click "Remind" and an email will be sent to you with your current password.
    4. Once you are logged in, enter your new email address in the "Changing your membership information" section.
    5. If you are subscribed to multiple InfraGard Pittsburgh mailing lists, and would like to change your address on all of the lists simultaneously, click the checkbox next to "Change globally".
    6. Click the "Change My Address and Name" button.
  • How do I transfer my InfraGard membership from another chapter?

    Contact the InfraGard Helpdesk to request that your chapter affiliation be changed to InfraGard Pittsburgh. Also provide the helpdesk with your new contact information for the official InfraGard National membership database.

    Finally, please send an email to the FBI Pittsburgh InfraGard Program coordinator at coordinator@infragard-pittsburgh.org to introduce yourself.

  • How do I transfer my InfraGard membership to another chapter?

    If you are leaving Western Pennsylvania, visit this page hosted by Infragard National to find an InfraGard chapter near you.

    Contact the InfraGard Helpdesk to request that your chapter affiliation be changed. Also provide the helpdesk with your updated contact information for the official InfraGard National membership database.

    Unsubscribe from the InfraGard Pittsburgh Members mailing list by following the instructions here.

    Finally, please send an email to the FBI Pittsburgh InfraGard Program coordinator at coordinator@infragard-pittsburgh.org with notice of your departure. You may also wish to send an email to the coordinator of your new chapter to introduce yourself.

  • Is the InfraGard Pittsburgh group on LinkedIn official?

    The InfraGard Pittsburgh group on LinkedIn is an official group. It is operated by the InfraGard Pittsburgh Members Alliance with assistance from the FBI Pittsburgh InfraGard Program coordinators. InfraGard Pittsburgh membership is required in order to join the LinkedIn group.

    InfraGard Pittsburgh strives to hold at least one event per quarter.

    The InfraGard Pittsburgh Members Alliance Board of Directors and the FBI Pittsburgh InfraGard Program coordinators strive to meet at least once a month.

    Login the InfraGard Pittsburgh mailing list server to manage your mailing list subscriptions.

InfraGard Secure Website / CyberCop

  • What is the InfraGard secure website?

    The InfraGard secure website is an FBI certified and accredited system which provides InfraGard members access to sensitive but unclassified information from government sources such as DHS and the FBI. The secure website also provides an internal secure email option for communication between members.

  • How do I access the InfraGard secure website?

    If you do not know how to reach the InfraGard secure website, please contact the InfraGard Helpdesk for assistance.

  • What is the CyberCop portal?

    The Cybercop portal was designed to provide a secure, Web-based environment to promote and facilitate the communication of sensitive information among a cohesive network of law enforcement, homeland defense and first responder professionals from all levels of government - including international, federal, state and local - and the private sector. The InfraGard National Members Alliance uses the Cybercop portal to facilitate communications with its active members while also providing dedicated portal space for InfraGard partner and affiliated organizations as well as for each of InfraGard’s local chapters. The CyberCop portal is not affiliated in any way with the FBI.

  • How do I sign up for the CyberCop portal?
    1. Visit https://cybercop.esportals.com/login.cfm in a web browser.
    2. Click on the link that states, "If invited to join, click HERE to register."
    3. When prompted, enter Org ID "347" for InfraGard Pittsburgh.
    4. Type in the email address which the FBI has on file from your InfraGard membership application. (If you do not enter the email address that matches what is on file, your registration may be delayed until your membership can be verified by an administrator.)
    5. Complete the remaining online application.
    6. A confirmation email will be sent to your email address that will contain a verification link (which will either appear as the word 'verify' or a long string of alpha/numeric characters). You must click on the verification link in order to complete your CyberCop Portal application.
    7. You will receive one final email when your account is approved. (Your account cannot be approved until you complete both the online application and click on the verification link in the confirmation email.)

  • How do I access the CyberCop portal?

    The CyberCop portal can be found at https://cybercop.esportals.com

Logo Use

  • Can I use the InfraGard logo?

    Use of the InfraGard logo ("seal") is governed by the FBI Guidelines for use of the InfraGard Service Mark which are available on the InfraGard secure website. Please refer to these guidelines before making use of the InfraGard logo. In general, no business entity (whether a for-profit or not-for-profit corporation, sole proprietorship, partnership, educational institution, association, alliance, etc.) may use the InfraGard name or logo without express written approval of the FBI. Persons who are InfraGard members in good standing may state in writing or otherwise, without further permission, that they are InfraGard members, that they are voting affiliates of the InfraGard Pittsburgh Members Alliance and that they are members of InfraGard Pittsburgh. Persons who are InfraGard members, without further permission, may place on business cards or personal stationary the InfraGard logo with the inclusion of the tagline: “A proud member of”. The same logo may include the name of the InfraGard Chapter underneath the graphic. NO PERSON MAY USE THE INFRAGARD LOGO WITHOUT THE TAGLINE. Non-members may not use the InfraGard logo.
