Social Networking & Security

Social networking through the Internet provides a great opportunity to connect with friends, family and colleagues. It’s an easy way to keep in contact and know about the events in your friends’ lives, but it also provides a great opportunity for damage to your reputation and crimes by terrorists and criminals.

Join us May 18th at the Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery at the Waterfront when Kevin Gennuso will discuss Social Networking and Security. Learn about the threats to your on-line life and steps you can take to protect yourself. Kevin has over ten years of information security experience having presented for Pittsburgh PodCamp last fall and, most recently, taught SANS 504 Hacking Techniques class. In keeping with the theme of this meeting, there will be social network time before and after Kevin’s presentation with free appetizers, soda pop and coffee. Alcohol will be available for purchase.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet other InfraGard members and learn about how online networking affects the critical infrastructure. While this is an open meeting, please register at the link below so we may plan appropriately. Please bring a friend or colleague along but they will need to register in advance too. Please register by Friday, May 14, 2010.
