InfraGard Pittsburgh
Safe Schools Conference

Update

Posted: March 02, 2009

InfraGard Pittsburgh regrets that the 2008 Safe Schools Conference originally scheduled for December 12th, 2008 and postponed until the spring of 2009 will not be held. Due to issues beyond our control we have been unable to secure a date for the conference this spring. Rather than struggle to put together an event that would likely conflict with end-of-school-year activities, we have instead decided to shift our focus to the fall and the 2009 InfraGard Pittsburgh Safe Schools Conference. It is our hope that by focusing our efforts on the fall we can put together a bigger, better, and more valuable event for you.

December 12, 2008

In today’s fast-paced, networked world, children are increasingly faced with new threats; at home, at school, in the community and online. What can you do to protect them? Find out about the latest threats and what can be done to combat them!

The 2008 InfraGard Pittsburgh Safe Schools Conference brings together federal, state and local law enforcement and many non-profit organizations to discuss current and developing cyber and physical safety topics and issues affecting PreK-12 and higher educational institutions, businesses, parents and others that have an impact our nation's youth. The conference will provide valuable information for: school administrators, educators, and counselors (PreK-12); university instructors and students in the education field; business and industry leaders concerned about their organization and today's youth; homeland security, public safety and law enforcement officials; and last but certainly not least – parents.
